Greenwich Hill Trash & Recycling  Reminder!

New updates from our trash company

The Prince William County recycling processing center has implemented new guidelines for what can now be accepted for recycle collection.

Many of the items accepted in the past for recycling CANNOT be taken any longer.  In particular, all gals items and plastic items marked 3 through 7 (yogurt, butter bowls and other wide mouth plastic containers) are NO LONGER accepted. Please do not place these items out for collection.  Any unacceptable material will be left, or thrown away as trash.  These changes are effective immediately.

Materials accepted for recycling are:
1- plastic bottles and jugs #1 and #2 containers with necks including soda, water, juice, milk and detergent containers. PLEASE RINSE OUT CONTAINERS.  Bottle caps may be replaced after rinsing.  Not bottles that previously contained hazardous materials (such as oil, flammable materials or chemicals)
2 - Aluminum and steel food and beverage can and empty aerosol can. Empty and rinse out cans.
3 - newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, office paper and paperboard boxes such as cereal, cookie, cracker and tissue boxes.
4 - card (flattened and cut down to 2ft by 2ft size.  Do not include cardboard with food residue (no greasy pizza boxes) or plastic liners.  Also, please discard packing materials such as styrofoam, air pillows and bubble wramp.

Webb Brothers DOES NOT ACCEPT:

1- Plastic Bags. Don not place recycle items in plastic bag for collection
2- Glass containers and jars, window glass, mirrors, light bulbs or ceramics
3 - plastics 3 through 7.

Attached is a guideline you can print.

We appreciate everyone's attention to these changes.
